It's Abe's first Halloween. He's had a nasty cough for the last few days, and wasn't feeling so great on Beggar's Night. But he was a good sport, and an excellent frog.
This is Abe's future best friend Harry, who lives next door. His spider costume was wicked.
Sorry for the delay in posting new photos. We were waiting to get our hands on the photos we had taken for Abe's 6 month "birthday". So here they are, a month late but worth the wait... (Click to enlarge)
In celebration of Carrie's birthday we spent the weekend at Apple Valley, enjoying the lake and good times with family. Some friends were kind enough to lend us their pontoon for the day, so Abe had his first boat ride...(click on photos for full-size)
A few days shy of his 6-month "birthday", Abe tried rice cereal for the first time today. He's got the whole "open your mouth, insert spoon" thing down pretty well, it's just the swallowing part he still doesn't get. He takes a bite and then doesn't know what to do with it, so it just sits in his mouth until he spits it out to make room for the next bite. But considering his bloodlines, I have a feeling he'll be eating like a professional in no time.
Here's the video of the messy moment in history...
Abe experienced his first Community Fest this weekend. We got there early on Saturday morning in an effort to beat the heat and crowd. He seemed to love laying on his blanket staring up at the trees the most. Next year we'll introduce the corndogs and cream puffs. Much love to Pete and Shino who sent him this awesome outfit from Japan.
