The fresh Autumn air...

Some crisp Autumn air will do a boy some good. The beginning of November was a rough one for our young hero. He suffered through a fever of 103 that lasted for 5 days, in combination with a nasty cough and the final throes of a teething episode. He has us worried for a while but he snapped back and has returned to his vibrant self. He's crawling at a quick pace, and can pull himself to a standing position. The baby-proofing of the house has begun!

Fall is here, ring the bell.

It's Abe's first Halloween. He's had a nasty cough for the last few days, and wasn't feeling so great on Beggar's Night. But he was a good sport, and an excellent frog.

This is Abe's future best friend Harry, who lives next door. His spider costume was wicked.

Big News from the Party Boat

In celebration of Carrie's birthday we spent the weekend at Apple Valley, enjoying the lake and good times with family. Some friends were kind enough to lend us their pontoon for the day, so Abe had his first boat ride...(click on photos for full-size)

Spoon Man

A few days shy of his 6-month "birthday", Abe tried rice cereal for the first time today. He's got the whole "open your mouth, insert spoon" thing down pretty well, it's just the swallowing part he still doesn't get. He takes a bite and then doesn't know what to do with it, so it just sits in his mouth until he spits it out to make room for the next bite. But considering his bloodlines, I have a feeling he'll be eating like a professional in no time.

Here's the video of the messy moment in history...
